IZNIK GREEN MOSQUE RESTORATION 2016

Iznik Green Mosque is one of the first examples of Ottoman architecture in Iznik/Bursa.

It has overstones of the Seljuq architecture.At its mihrab,made by marble,there is a strong stonemasonry.Its minaret lend its name to the mosque which is turquois,green and purple tiles that is covered by zigzag motive.

The mosque was restored again in 2015.During the restoration,for the missing and blasted places by the time,the tiles was produced as literal by Iznik Blue Tile,made by the stained glaze technique,with relief and shape of star prisma.
